Found myself in Eastbourne on Sunday purely by chance. In my haste I hot footed it to the beach, camera in hand, where I sat for almost 2 hours waiting for my first glimpse of 8 Merlins.. Excited doesnt describe it! No internet signal, so I couldnt check for updates and no sign of the Lancs so I was forced to seek an update the old fashioned way, by asking people. It was odd, actually talking to real people but I managed it and discovered the disappointing news. Then, to add insult to injury, whilst returning to my car I was caught in the downpour from Valhalla, soaking me to the bone. I should probably hate Lancasters now, but you know what? Good call. There are only 2 flyers left, so dont risk them, or their crew for my amusement. I got wet, never mind. I was disappointed, ah well. There will be other opportunities. On the plus side, I re-learned the art of conversation! On 7th Sept Im going to see 12 Merlins! So should any like minded individual recognise me, feel free to say hello as its a lost art! Lancasters.. They just keep on giving! :)
