Found this article this morning. Grandma Martins Grandmother. For all of my Wyoming relatives, Irish eyes are smiling! Saratoga Sun March 1, 1900 Grandma Nichols Dead Grandma Nichols died at her residence in Doggett at 9 oclock a. m. on Monday. The remains were brought to this place Tuesday and funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church, Rev. Robinson officiating. The remains were laid in the graveyard here, beside her husband, son and daughter, all of whom had preceded her. The deceased has been in poor health for several years. About a month ago she had facial erysipeins. Before she had fully recovered from the attack she was taken with influenza and succumbed to its effects. Four sons, John, James, Pierce and Henry, survive her. Deceased was born in Dublin, Ireland, during the year 1833, and was 67 years old at the time of her death. She came to New Orleans in 1851 and to Wyoming in 1872, and to this valley in 1878. She was very well known and liked throughout the entire valley. She was of a generous and kindly disposition and her heart went out in sympathy to the distressed. She will be sadly missed by all her friends as well as her family, who have the sympathy of the valley.
