Found this old article last night about my race for congress on 06. Funny - how I said I am running for congress because I want to make a difference. (Because I still think we elect too many potted plants based on the false notion, that if they stand for nothing, they can squeak out a win.) One, I dont buy that being passionate--less makes you a stronger candidate. If you cant sell you ideas to the voters you wont sell anything to your colleagues (and you become a potted plant). I also said we need environmental progress and environmental progress and energy-independence. I favor helping the auto industry produce alternative fuel vehicles. Knollenberg said drill in Alaska. If I would have won, I wouldnt have to keep saying these things eight years later.
