{ Fountain} The Singing Crane Fountain The Singing Crane Fountain on Chistye Prudy (Clean Ponds) was inaugurated in 1999. Seven jets of fountain, comparable to rock crystal in their purity and transparency, squirt amongst the granite boulders. The Singing Crane became the central image of the fountain finding its place on one of the boulders. Made of metal, the crane as though performs his bird song. His flickering wings even more enhance the effect of some unknown singing. A. Belashov, a well-known Russian animalist, is the author of The Singing Crane.
