Four San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies were awarded the Medal of Valor, the state’s highest law enforcement honor, at a ceremony yesterday in Sacramento. Three of the recipients helped rescue a fellow deputy who had been shot by Christopher Dorner, while the fourth saved five people from a burning apartment building in Victorville.
