Four days and 360 kilometers cycling through Western Sahara from Boujdour to Dakhlar. Strong unrelenting winds usually from behind but sometimes creating problems from the sides, at other times sandstorms. Carrying at least 10 litres of water most of the time with only extremely occasional cafes to re stock, it has been unlike any other stages of the journey in its challenges. The landscape has been vast and desolate but the people nearly always very friendly. Dakhlar is the 1000 kilometer half way mark of the desert stage of the journey. The next 1000 kilometres will take us through the rest of Western Sahara, across Mauritania and finishing at the border with Senegal.
