Four laws approving loan agreements between Yemen, KFAED and AFESD issued June 24, 2014 -SANAA The law No. 21 for 2014 was issued on Tuesday approving a loan agreement signed on February 2, 2014 between the Yemeni government and Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, (KFAED). Under the agreement, the KFAED will offer a loan of (KWD 17,600,000) $60 million to finance the project of constructing and equipping community colleges. Also the law No. 22 for 2014 was issued approving a loan agreement signed on July 11, 2014 between the Yemeni government and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD). Under the agreement, the AFESD will offer a loan of (KWD 10 million) $ 35 million to finance the project of rebuilding the province of Abyan. Moreover, the law No. 23 for 2014 was issued approving a loan agreement signed on January 28, 2014 between Cooperative & Agricultural Credit Bank, CAC Bank and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD). Under the agreement, the AFESD will offer a loan of $ 50 million to contribute to financing small and medium projects of private sector in the field of agriculture and fishery in Yemen. The Last law No. 24 for 2014 was issued approving a loan guarantee agreement provided by Cooperative & Agricultural Credit Bank, CAC Bank, and signed on January 28, 2014 between Yemeni government and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), to finance small and medium projects of private sector.
