Four years ago we decorated the boys and took them to the Cajun Cowboy for the childrens Halloween costume contest...I made Caleb the Disco Duck because Im old...lol! He took first place and Cain took second as a hippie! Now you would think that since Caleb was two this would be in the past but its nooooot! Ha! Last week Angie Kay Hackler brought me some cds they had in boxes, one was covered with a picture of my dad, I knew instantly that it came from the year of Katrina...I sat and made all of my siblings and my parents each cds of what I though were their favorite songs, it took forever! I downloaded song after song off of Limewire and burned them and then I made labels for each with a pic of them. I was excited to have the music I burned for Daddy, it wonderful and Mommas was too! Anyhoo my players in the house wouldnt play it so I put in the truck. Cain and Caleb came unglued at the songs! I did too as I realized this CD was with Charlie and Angie because I had labeled it wrong! It was for Cain! I made it for him while he was still an infant! C is for Cookie, lots of Sesame street songs, Atlantis and of course...the Disco Duck! Ahahaha! As they listened to the Disco Duck I told them about Caleb being it at Halloween one year.....OH MY WORD! They have one thousand play costumes and all he could talk about was getting home and being the Disco Duck again! Today we went to Texarkana and took Miss Addie with us on the way home we listened to the CD and Caleb got pumped again, he came home and after putting the groceries away, mudding in the creek and a very cold red-neck bath he put on his Disco Duck costume and hit the karoke machine in the game room...Miss Addie freaked out! Normally she is shaking her finger at him and Cain telling them how the cow ate the cabbage but a giant duck shaking his tail feathers at her while singing on a mic., withe the echo up was just too much! BTW it doesnt fit him like it use too, four years later and hes stretchin it! Might be why Miss Addie is freakin! Yall have a good nite!
