Four young females snatched unknowingly from their mother and - TopicsExpress

Four young females snatched unknowingly from their mother and tossed in the car. Their brothers left behind, their mother too fearful and shocked to fight back. The car drives around for a while, taking a turn onto a long, dusty dirt road. With no witnesses in sight, the four females are dragged out of the vehicle scared, terrified with no idea where they are. Standing huddled together on a dirt road, alone, far from any help they watch the car speed away, leaving them to fend for themselves. The four females begin to cry, first quietly, then louder, but there is no one to hear their pleas for help so they lay down, exhausted, huddled together. Out of nowhere a large logging truck comes barreling down the road. The driver sees the four young females huddled together in the road but it is too late, despite slamming on his brakes the vehicle hits all 4 females. Two are killed instantly, one is still alive but in shock from what just happen. The fourth female drags her body off the road and into a ditch, frightened, alone and in agonizing pain she begins to whimper, thinking her 3 siblings have all died. The driver calls the police who arrive on scene and stop traffic until Animal Control can arrive. The 4 females are young lab puppies. Two females did not survive the accident. The third female (Butter, a black lab mix) suffered a broken jaw, abrasions on her legs, was missing all her teeth and had severe internal injuries that she would not recover from. She died shortly after arriving at the vet’s office. Now Peanut suffers a broken leg requiring surgery, pins and plates. The lone survivor of a fatal car accident, Peanut has no family, no humans to comfort her, no siblings to console her, no money for the medical care she needs. This is where A Shelter Friend steps in to help. Despite having no funds to treat these animals, A Shelter Friend volunteer, Silvia Kim meets the animals at the vet clinic where medical treatment can be given. A Shelter Friend has the resources and the followers to help these animals but only if YOU, our ever loyal followers help us make this happen. Mickey, Minnie and Peanut need a combined amount of $1,500 to treat them and receive the medical care they need and deserve.
