Qualifying action in the mens shot put is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. CDT with the finals set for 8:15 p.m. Live results and a live video stream will be available at RaginCajuns. Fournette, ranked No. 6 nationally in the shot put, earned first-place honors in his first seven meets of the season and qualified for the NCAA Championships after a sixth-place finish at the NCAA East Preliminary Round. The New Orleans native, who will be one of 18 athletes entered in the event, set a Ragin Cajuns- and Sun Belt Conference record in the shot put with a throw of 65 feet, 11 inches at the SBC Championships last month in San Marcos, Texas.
