Fourteen years ago tomorrow, a wonderful, phenomenal, compassionate, intelligent, hysterically funny and fantastic woman, My Mom, Connie Zaleski passed away from cancer. She was truly a pioneer in the profession of Radiologic Technology (no collimator lights, only calibers to set radiographic technique, no such thing as AEC, hand dipping films in darkroom chemicals, and the classic Merrills Positioning Volume III and IV). I am truly honored to say she was and still is my inspiration everyday - to BE ALL THAT YOU CAN BE AND ALWAYS SHOW YOUR TRUE SELF to everyone. She never gave up on anyone - no matter what their situation. My Mom could always see the light and good in everyone - even when you pissed her off (probably what I inherited the most from her) - that and getting sea and car sick. Danny always wonders why I love doing jigsaw puzzles - we would sit for hours trying to put them together. She could play a mean game of BINGO, ROYAL RUMMY, and SCRABBLE. She loved going to Hawaii to see Camille Teshima (who always managed to get my parents the best hotel rooms with their good friends for years) and going to Florida to see Disney World. She put FAMILY FIRST everyday. We could sit for hours and watch Star Trek. The funniest part was she loved music from the 1950s and early 1960s, but when I introduced her to the song Everywhere I Go by Janet Jackson one day while I was driving, she told me Frank, that girl is nuts and the whole Jackson family is nuts, but this is a great song! I just know she would be proud of the entire family and where we are - Tanya Zaleski, Jim Zaleski, Mike Zaleski, my Dad, Denise Zaleski, Kim Zaleski, and Danny Callahan, and all the grandkids, Thomas, Michael, Kaitlyn, James, Ryan and Charlotte and all the pets too! Miss you everyday Mom and I know you are always with us! (I am not intentionally leaving people out, but my Mom had such a large family and large network of friends and colleagues, I simply cannot post them all. So, dont get mad if you are not listed)
