Fox & Weeks is privileged to serve the family and loved ones of Arthur Tai Chan, 49, who died in his sleep and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Archie Chan, Sr. and Mrs. Edith Smith, all of Savannah. He was a proud native of Savannah and attended many public and private schools here as well as Armstrong University. At his death, he had just celebrated his 49th birthday. He leaves behind many people who will miss his sense of humor and his love for friends and family. Surviving are his sons, Arthur Tai Chan, III and Tristen Caleb Chan; his parents, Mr. Arthur Tai Chan, Sr. (Patsy) and Mr. & Mrs. Ted Migchelbrink (Linda); his brothers, Anthony Kai Fencher and Anthony Bryan Migchelbrink. He is also survived by his aunt, Nannelle Chan and his step-sisters, Lisa Linton and Terry Lanham; step-brothers, Roger Pughsley, Patrick Howard and Ted Migchelbrink, Jr., and many cousins, nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held at 10:30 am on Friday at the Fox & Weeks Hodgson Chapel conducted by Rev. Kevin Veitinger, his friend and former neighbor. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are Philip Nichols, Rob Salter, Kenneth Smith, Mark Linton, James Keating, John Miller, Scott Boley, and James Rowell. Remembrances may be made to St. Jude’s 501 St Jude Place in Memphis, TN or the American Cancer Society.
