Fracking is used in drilling all oil wells. It is done far below - TopicsExpress

Fracking is used in drilling all oil wells. It is done far below the water table. This is shallow fracking. Forcing acid into shallow, unstable ground, and putting at risk, all of the water in the area. It makes land pretty much useless, and poisoned. Two farming families here in downstate Illinois have signed permission to do this right under farmland, near a small town. The shallow well is in the process of being drilled. Then the bits will go horizontally, and then acid will be forced at high pressure right under roads, farmland and family drinking wells for miles. It is being sneaked in, and no one except the two families are aware of it. Their neighbors land could well be rendered worthless, and children could die from drinking the water. Not to mention their stock and the wildlife. It is greed at a new level.
