Frank Bradshaw died this winter in an avalanche on the summit of Lewis Peak. I was playing old songs from my favorite song book and hit the Moody Blues and I remembered having tickets to see them in the early eighties with Frank. Its a kind of crappy memory - I was unemployed and extremely broke so I went with Frank to the show but just scalped my ticket. Frank was annoyed but didnt say too much (or maybe I didnt listen, that happens). As the memory floated by I had an urge to apologize to Frank for making him sit next to some stranger and not going to the show with him as we had originally planned - but of course its far too late for apologies now. Sigh. God bless you Frank, I miss you and I wish I had kept in better touch - I never got to tell you the stories about my wife and raising my kids, and you never got to tell me about all those mountains you climbed. I suppose the fact that weve lived full lives and accomplished things comes first - at least we had some good stories, even if we never got a chance to share them.
