Frankie Knuckles death reminded me that we all have very limited - TopicsExpress

Frankie Knuckles death reminded me that we all have very limited timelines. I feel lately that I waste much too much of the precious time I have left trying to maintain vanishing relationships on Facebook. FB has become boring and too often a depressing and isolating experience for me. Virtual-only connections are unsatisfying and god knows if and when I will be able to socialize publicly. Most important, I need to focus more each day on projects important to me including revising and republishing House Music 101 on a special music-driven blog Im creating; and researching and writing a historical novel about my fathers experiences in World War II. I will continue to update my politics-focused blogs each day for an ever-widening audience. These projects, coupled with a daily struggle with health issues, require more energy than I have available. Unlike others I know who have exited FB recently, Im not canceling my account or completely abandoning those genuinely interested in my life. I will try each day to extend birthday greetings to friends, answer messages, and scan my newsfeed. If time allows Ill post to my page. Those who really know me have my phone number and private email address.
