Frantic Child, These days you often hear that I am a God of judgment, and it is true. I am. Yet how could I be a loving Father of sound judgment and always be sneaking around looking for reasons to reject My own children? Would a sensible earthly father do this? Think about it. If you spent more time with Me and less with those who merely enjoy talking about Me, I know you would be far happier. Has it come to your mind that all of us might be happier if you were? Child, your fear of failure does tend to put everyone else on edge, so the time has come to lay those fears to rest, once and for all. Come, let us reason together! How can anyone who knows anything about Jesus (who perfectly reflected My nature) potray Me as spiteful and ill-tempered? The fault-finding god of hard-line religion may be many things, but he could never be Jesus or Me. Can you imagine such a neurotic, pompous deity dying for his creatures? Hardly. A god so devoid of common decency and good sense could neither love nor give, and he certainly would lack the ability to create anything. Child, that silly god-version could not so much as create a molecule, let alone sustain a universe! No, he could only be what he is - a pitiful projection of fear and guilt, a phantom haunting the hearts of men who think they must scramble to save themselves by earning My love. Such ones have yet to see that salvation by grace through faith literally means trusting Me to free them by love, not merit. My heart aches for them, for they have yet to know Me as I truly am. Matthew 7:11 If you then, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in the heavens give what is good to those who ask Him! John 14:7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father too. From now on you know Him, and have seen. 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear holds punishment, and he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
