Fred was found!!!!!! Rarely have we been able to contain so much - TopicsExpress

Fred was found!!!!!! Rarely have we been able to contain so much joy in three mere words. Thirteen days went by when faith and prayers and sightings by kind strangers were all we had to go on. Somehow, it was always enough to keep us going. Countless gas stations, bars/restaurants, grocery stores, business owners, and individuals posted Lost Dog signs in their establishments. We cannot thank you enough for getting the word out. Churches prayed that Fred would be found safe and sound. We are so glad that all of the combined prayers (there were so many we lost count) were heard and answered. Amazing people from this and the surrounding communities handed out posters, told their friends, combed the streets at all hours on the hunt, and met us at gas stations so we could fill your tanks and you could continue the search. We know that we couldnt have found him without you. Two of you printed posters for us, and when all was said and done, almost a thousand were ready to pass out. Policemen, sheriffs, USPS, UPS and FedEx, AEP, farmers, hunters, and pizza delivery drivers kept an eye out for him as they went about their day. The animal shelter and the dog pound put up with our daily visits looking for Fred. Some of you scoured the Internet day and night looking for pictures of found dogs that could be Fred. Many of you on Ridge and Rehl walked us through your properties, showed us how to look for tracks, drove us through your lands, and checked all of your barns. One of you even let us sleep in your driveway near a location where Fred was spotted. Youve offered tents, trucks, 4-wheelers, and numerous other aides to help find Fred. We know that we can never thank you enough for everything you have done for us. During our Ohio visit, we have seen beautiful sunsets and sunrises, gorgeous ice formations and the pure clean blanket of snow that covered the ground last night, but none of them compare to the beautiful sight of our dog reunited with us at last, or to the beauty that exists in the heart of a community willing to go the distance to work together for a common good. Im not sure any county has ever put forth the effort that Muskingum County did to find one lost dog - this is one for the books. Thanks for the love and prayers you sent Freds way, Ashley & Manu
