Free Orientation session “Counseling and Career Guidance” (Hyderabad press club 06/07/2013 at 10:00 A.M to 1:00P.M) Meeting (Minutes) Duration: 1:30 Objective: • Open discussion for observation about orientation event. Merits • Free of cost session. • Venue location is quite good. • Press coverage. • Every student reaches easily. • Student strength is good. • Pupils demand more session like that. • Clips are attracted motivate students interest and relate our topic. • Three facilitators conduct session. • Candidate show attention towards own career or future planning because our education system missed very important corner in shape of counseling and career guidance services. • Combine boys and girls with separate sitting arrangement. • Announce paid registration. • One Activity during session. • Question answer session • Planning throughout start to end. • Team work involves. • Registration good in number. • Expected number candidate comes. • After the session interaction all participant non-formal and formal way. • Session started 10:15 but actual time is 10:00. • 60% male candidates. • Most of candidate belongs to class 10th boys and girls which is 80%, 50% boys 30% girls rather then 8, 9, 11 and 12th classes. • Call 250 students in schools test preparation centers and personal relations. • 154 students were presents out of 250. • Target is 250 and capacity 200 means arrangement and expected 150 is correct. Demerits • Sound not properly install. • Parents and teacher should be involve that type of session. • Started session ten minutes late because of facilitator reaches late. • Temperature was not up to the mark in hall. • Drinking water facility provide after attention. • Only three participants show interest for paid registration but not in cash. • Only twenty pass recover out of 154 candidates. • Some candidates hesitate signature on attendance sheet. • Session started 10:15 but actual time is 10:00. • Closing timing 1:00p.m but actual closing 1:45p.m. • Hypotheses of paid registration not good. • Introduction not so good which one is my part • Only 40% female candidates. • Only one male and one female teacher is present but remember it was only students session and our team consider it as positive angle. • Attendance was collecting 119 out of 154 students. Suggestion: • Feedback should be taken through sales promotion officers through phone and again visit same schools and institutions, centers and contact every students not only presents numbers of participant. • Session should be conducted continue bases. • Involve parent’s teachers or separate sessions. • Conducted paid registration after Eid. • It should be at least ten numbers of pupils. • Please sent Afaq introduction presentation and videos related towards counseling and career guidance Spo’s (area was not limit but working area different)
