Free workshop -- Early Childhood Educators / Daycare workers / church nursery workers / people who want to babysit Class will be at UACCM in Morrilton -- if you can not make all 5 classes, you get partial credit for what you do attend. This class will meet 5 consecutive Monday evenings 5-8 starting October 13 The goal of the Child Development: Birth to Three (CC:B3) course is to improve the quality of care by training caregivers in the development of the child from birth to three. The objectives of this course include determining the needs of infants and toddlers, establishing routines, setting up the environment, discussing influences on brain development, observing children, and understanding the development of the child from birth to three. This course will help enable caregivers understand the importance of this early development and their role as a nurturer. Through studying development, caregivers will learn what to expect from infants and toddlers and will be able to recognize that all are different, although they have similar patterns of development. In addition, caregivers will have the skills and techniques required to care for children within a safe and stimulating environment. Lessons consist of: Concepts in Infant and Toddler Development, The Young Infant, The Mobile Infant, The Toddler and Early Intervention. Total class hours: 15 email me to register bjackson72@me
