Freedom in gun ownership and freedom in capitalism. Two things that mark libertarians (and Republicans). Its interesting that there havent been any notable attempt to join these two things to do anything about gun violence. If the use of guns to kill and injure people (whether intentionally or accidentally) is a large problem -- is there anyone who thinks it isnt? -- then why hasnt there been much drive to provide market solutions? Is it that there just isnt that much monetary reward? Should govt shoulder the cost of finding solutions -- any solutions except gun ownership restrictions? Well, heres something thats pretty interesting. There might profit-driven solutions out there, but I havent seen any. Even this, though, isnt a capitalist venture, because the reward is provided not by a consumption market, but by a charitable donation.
