Freeview have announced a change to the channel line up that will happen on 3rd September. This is to create additional capacity for general entertainment channels. In essence the Childrens channels and News channels will change their channel numbers (also known as LCN or logical channel numbers). If you retune your TV or Freeview receiver after the 3rd September the new channel numbers will be allocated automatically. Childrens channels will move from channels 70+ to channels 120+ News channels will move from channels 80+ to channels 130+ If you dont retune you wont lose any channels and the old numbers will still be accessible until you do.
