Frenchman Thierry Faure is an artist whose work reflects his passions. Two recurring themes in his work are horses and music. We are very fortunate to have an original painting by Faure as part of the top prize for our annual raffle. This painting captures musicians. If you are interested in Thierry Faure’s work, you can visit his website, (there is an option to translate the text to English). Francis Bacon once said, ‘The job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery,’ arguably no home is really complete without some inspiring visuals on the wall, from photos or posters to paintings – if you are lucky enough. By supporting Irish Landmark’s annual raffle, you have a chance to own this piece of original artwork. Here’s a summary of the top prizes for this year’s raffle: FIRST PRIZE: €1,000 spending money, a painting by renowned artist Thierry Faure and a three night stay in Tullymurry House. SECOND PRIZE: Three nights at Blackhead Lightkeepers’ houses (1 and 2) and £500 spending money. THIRD PRIZE: Three nights at Wicklow Head lighthouse and €250 spending money. FOURTH PRIZE: Three nights at Helen’s Tower and £250 spending money. If you are in a position to support our raffle, we would be very grateful. As an educational charity, our primary aim is to conserve and sustain iconic buildings. That’s why Irish Landmark properties are living buildings, not museum settings. Irish Landmark always respects the history and architectural integrity of the structures we conserve, but we also ensure they have all the contemporary comforts you want in a holiday home. The raffle will take place on Thursday 11th December in our Georgian Townhouse. We will be marking the holiday season with drinks so please drop by from 5pm.irishlandmark/2014/11/19/original-artwork-included-years-annual-raffle/
