Frequently Asked Questions: 1. So your NGO works for which Migrants? Or do you work for Unprivileged Students ? We do not work for any migrants nor do we work for unprivileged students. We believe in proactive approach. We work with youngsters / friends who are as capable as we are but the uncontrolled factors around them are stopping their growth due to lack of opportunities. So we together are exploring the situation in the society and the area near them and are creating the opportunities or exploring the existing one. While doing this we believe in Friendship and relations …which we believe is the strength of Aseem. Neither of us …brothers from border area working with us or we who work with them from rest of India are experts in any field. We are learning together …we are developing together with the motto of “Development through Friendship”. Though at the same time we ensure that we are not restricted by regional thinking …while we develop our respective regions we believe in the broader thinking across nation and that of humanity. 2. Why can’t people from other NGO’s work with Aseem ? The question in incorrectly framed dear friend. Aseem welcomes all people in its work. But Aseem does restrict people with responsibilities in other organizations to take the responsibility of any of the events in Aseem. This is not because we are not sure of their capability but because there can be complexities / conflicts in commitments when the events/tasks occur at the same time. So in that case one always may face difficulty in setting up the priorities and for us Aseem is the primary priority. Now the more important factor …Aseem is a group of passionate people …and while working in Aseem …you are expected to think Out of Box as well as from the end users perspective as well as from the long term social perspective. You cannot do Aseem’s work as a “task” assigned and completed. Aseem believes in the “Bhav” (marathi) than “Rachna”. By saying this we are not underestimating the “Rachna” or systematic work but we believe that if we have a passionate “bhav” ( bhav – I couldn’t think of proper word in English for this. Bhav is not emotion…not just the gist ….but is something more.) in our volunteer then the systems can be developed. If the system is hampering the “Bhav” , we will change the system. Coming back to main point…such “Bhav” cannot be achieved when we have multiple interests. So …Aseem will welcome all of you to work on tasks but will not be able to give you any responsibility as Aseem’s volunteer. Let me add to it…We are positive and believe that Networking of all the likeminded people /NGO’s is the necessity. We do believe and are working for it, I can certainly share multiple examples in which we have done it before. I will continue this FAQ series …Please feel free to post your questions , and I would like to answer all of them….It’s better to ask that assume….isn’t it ?
