Friday 24th What a horrid birthday for jonathan but he did have a lovely coffee cake which he loved, and a chocci one with a candle donated to the staff and some of the nurses even sang happy birthday - before rushing off to another demanding patient. Great strides with his speech, holding conversations now which is great but getting very cross with himself when he cant remember certain words, and desperately wants to be able to read which he is still struggling with. Seems to have a slight furring of the garotted artery which can be caused, so they say, by cholesterol which in turn might be a cause of the stroke, there again they have now found a problem with his heart, so that could be just as likely. Still searching for an answer, which of course they might never find. Probably means at least another 4 days stuck in Waford Gen. Thanks again for all your calls and messages, they are working a treat and bring a big smile to his face.
