Friday Fit Tip Rest I was asked my opinion on rest. Here it is. Sleep is important. You should sleep. Happy Friday! Jk. Rest between lifts and workouts is a topic people debate often, basically like literally any topic thats health related. I personally take minimal rest between lifts and get out of the gym ASAP...CROSSFIT STYLE. Now, if you rest you can focus your mind and stretch to maybe keep your lifts optimal. Less rest, keeps your heart rate high causing you to be more awesome. Just an opinion. Now. I have an opinion about rest days and breaking up your lifts to give certain muscle groups rest, and its this: Dont let anyone tell you how YOUR body recovers. If you want to do biceps 4 times a week, thats your business. If you consistently make gains, what are you hurting? People tell you something that their textbooks told them, but YOU arent in their textbooks. If you dont want to take a rest day because you feel fine, dont. Thats your own business. Its my belief that you cant over-train, you can only under eat and under sleep. Find a balance of the 3 in your life. Happy Friday.
