Friday Friend: Jake Rechtenbaugh. I’m pretty lucky to have met Don Lee for a number of reasons. Not only does he do a great job singing and playing guitar with The Wag, but he also came with a bunch of friends and family that have now become my friends. Today, I’d like to talk about Dons nephew Jake. I’ve known Jake for a few years now, and he is such a nice guy. He is the kind of person that would do anything for you. He comes to my band’s shows to support us, takes pictures and videos of us and he’s even offered to do some promotional things for my band as well. He is very creative and good with computers and programming, so I look forward to whatever he has in mind. Jake sings and plays the tambourine really well. I’ve watched him join his uncle on stage many times, and his confidence and ability grows with each performance. You can tell that Jake has music in him. He keeps a steady beat with his tambourine and puts all that he has into his vocal performances. I love their version of “Space Oddity” by David Bowie. Jake has even joined the Wag to do a song or two! I think that we will see more and more musical things from him as time goes on. I can see my nephews and nieces following in his footsteps! I like the banter that Jake and Don share on stage, along with their famous “pointing pose”. You’ll have to come to a show to experience it -- it is very entertaining! When Jake is not performing with Don, I get the chance to talk and hang out with him. He’s such a friendly person to have around, and its always great to see him. He’s also quite witty and clever, and he has really good comedic timing. He and I come up with funny ideas and jokes all the time. I know that Jake has a job is in the healthcare industry, and I think that industry suits him well. He is very friendly and good with people, and I’m sure that the patients he works with really appreciate him just as his friends do. As one of Jake’s friends, I can proudly say that I am glad to have met him and that I treasure our friendship!
