Friday Morning Update 8:05 AM - Once again our area was spared from severe weather as areas to our north, south and east took the brunt of the thunderstorm activity last night. Pike County had some flash flooding and winds estimated at 50-60 mph that took down some three foot diameter oak trees, crushing cars as well as a house, according to the NWS in Binghamton. Allentown and parts of northwest New Jersey had reports of heavy Rain and hail. We had a few rumbles of thunder and some lightning as well as a brief downpour or two overnight, but nothing as severe as shown on the map below. Theres still a chance for some severe weather for our area today, mainly again this afternoon and evening. Mainly cloudy skies today with a 40 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms and Rain showers. Highs near 75. Overnight lows will be near 60 degrees. As always well continue to watch. More later..... ~ Laz
