Friday Prayer Thank you Lord, for another Friday which is the first as we begin the season of lent. Father, we come With our hurts, our sorrows and our uncertainties. We come to hold on to your promises Of healing and hope. We pray for those of us whose lives are full of guilt, Real or imagined; For those us who feel unable to forgive ourselves For the things we have said or done, or failed to do; For those of us who have given in to temptation so many times Our consciences have become hardened. May the gentle voice of Christ reach into the depths of our need. We come to be held by you And to prepare for the coming of Christ Blessed are those whose offence is forgiven, whose sin is blotted out. Blessed are we, Lord Jesus, for you have forgiven us. Blessed are those to whom the Lord imputes no fault, in whose spirit there is no deceit. Blessed are we, Lord Jesus, for you have cleansed us. Blessed are those whom the Lord teaches and guides. Blessed are we, Lord Jesus, for you guard and enfold us in your salvation. Amen. During this time of lent, let us open our hearts to The Lord , repent, give up or evil deeds, confess and ask for forgiveness to God
