Friday is our big day. A huge amount of work has been put into our 50th Birthday by many people to ensure the event is highly successful. We have an amazing array of stalls open from 3:30-5:30 to suit all tastes. If you are hungry then you can munch on a sausage, taste the cultural delights of Japan, sample a spud topped with something healthy or not so healthy, cool off with an ice cream or gelati or sit and soak up the vibe with tea or coffee and a cake. For those more active we offer footy activities, a petting zoo, jumping castle, have your face painted or get an airbrushed tattoo. Why not start your Christmas shopping and visit the stalls offering candles, jewellery, hair accessories,Tupperware, Thermomix, handbags, clothing, pottery and more. Students and their classes will provide an opportunity to have your photo taken, place a bid in the silent auction, buy gingerbread houses or art work and brush up on your reading by buying a book at a book stall. The gym will house lots of memorabilia where you can reminisce about bygone days. A display of student art which you can purchase and have framed will also be found here. We will also be selling badges and commemorative wine or you can purchase a plant to grow and enhance our school environment in the Commemorative Garden. At 5:30 the official part of the evening will take place with the 40th Birthday capsule opening and cake cutting being the hi-lights. We will also fill a second capsule with the work students have been preparing over the last few weeks and the choir will sing. Then at 6:15 guests will have the opportunity to view the school, see classrooms and chat to staff. Following this you will be able to visit the Tea Tree Gully Hotel and sample a barbecue for the price of a gold coin donation which supports the Leukaemia Foundations U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year Competition. You will also receive your first drink for free. All in all the evening is shaping up to be a great event and one which our school community can be very proud. See you there.
