Friday morning on Vision, we are chatting with an Egyptian Christian from Open Doors Australia. Some of the stories from Egypt are amazing! Heres a quote from their website: Yousef* grew up in a wealthy Muslim fundamentalist home in Cairo, but as a teenager he started having doubts about his faith. He started reading books on philosophy and, as part of his search, the Bible. He was deeply impacted by the Gospel of John, and gave his life to Christ. Jesus turned over all my standards and values, he explains. Following his conversion, He was ostracised by his friends, thrown out of the family home and imprisoned twice. Remaining strong in his Christian faith, Yousef has now seen some of his family come to Christ. The amazing thing is: in Egypt, stories like Yousef’s are not unusual…As an Egyptian Christian, he will be sharing - God is doing a mighty work inside Egypt.
