Friday night! Second run of the weekend!! Phil McGuinness and I had catastrophic failure of the motor!! The Jandal inside decided it wanted out! Straight through the top of the Intake manifold!! At first! The thought were we are out for the weekend! Then! A That Cant Happen Moment! Happened! Big Bird! A fellow competitor! said he had the exact same manifold at home! In Gladstone! So he sent his sister on a 3 hour round trip to get it for us! But it wasnt quite the same as we wanted! The new manifold had a different throttle body mounting plate on it! So Phil cut his off the next morning and swapped them over! We managed to find a team that had a TIG welder coming down Saturday morning! So we employed them to weld the mounting plate onto the manifold! And BOOM! Put it back together! And we were racing!! And Only missed 1 stage!! And heres the incar GoPro footage! Watch the bonnet!
