Fridays List Of Stuff And Things: 1) I am submitting Into This River I Drown to the Lambda Awards. In perusing the website, I saw they had a shitload of categories, some of which are Lesbian Poetry and Lesbian Erotica....which of course got me thinking about if there is such a thing as Lesbian Erotic Poetry. That being said, I am officially announcing my retirement from writing gay romance to follow my five-minute long dream to write Lesbian Erotic Poetry under the name Pat Smith. Here is my first. My Precious Flower By Pat Smith I give unto you my burgeoning flower Over it, you hold all the power. Of my heart, you are the owner. You also give me a lady boner. 2) Eric and I take our trip to the wrong Roanoke tomorrow. On the upside, apparently our hotel is haunted. I am pretty sure Im scared of ghosts, but never having encountered one, I cant be sure. I will let you all know if I encounter one and what my reaction would be. Chances are itll be like what happens when a bee flies near me. I take off running and screaming with my arms waving above my head. I am not ashamed of this. I just like being alive. 3) Gave BOATK3 The Art Of Breathing to the beta reader. Immediately the accusations began to fly of me distracting her and that her children were going to be neglected. I almost felt bad. If all goes well, Dreamspinner should have it by December... which would put it on track for a spring release... 4) Eric bought me a Snuggie. I wear it to go to the mailbox because its like forty degrees outside and freezing. People in my neighborhood stare at me weird, especially since I wear it backward and pretend its a cape. I wish I had some modicum of shame, but alas, I dont. Why else would you have a Snuggie if you werent going to wear it?!?! After my death, Im going to be seen as an innovator. 5) Jumping Beans By Pat Smith What mysteries hide within those folds? What wonders can I behold? Oh the joyous things that I have seen! When I go forth and flick the bean!
