However this beautiful Psalm by David actually Ministers to the living as well! So let us see how this beautiful Psalm by David, actually applies to us each and every day, using both the Old and New Testments. Psalm 23 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. ( Philippians 4:19 ) 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, Whether you turn to the right or the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it. ( Isaiah 30:21 ) 3 He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his names sake. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. ( Psalm 119:105 ) 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. When you pass through the waters, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. ( Isaiah 43:2 ) 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the spiritual realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the World to be holy and blameless in His sight. ( Ephesians 1:3-4 ) 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. For God so loved the World that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
