Friend: According to Beit Hillel*, this could be considered shatnez. Me: Wow. If even Beit Hillel are going all (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻) you know its some serious shtuss* VOCAB: Shatnez: The combination of linen + wool, Biblically forbidden to Jews (the two shrink and wear at different rates, causing pulling and holes and early wearing out of a garment -- wasteful!). By extension, the combination of any two things that cant or shouldnt be combined, because at least one of the two will be harmed by the combination. Beit Hillel: Hillel was a very famous rabbi, and Beit Hillel (the House/School of Hillel) were his students.
