Friendly Reminder - Informational meeting - Monday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. At Tulsa Community College, Northeast Campus, Small Auditorium near the Gym. Deaf Culture in France – May 2015 INED 2993 – International Deaf Culture: Immersion into the French Deaf Community. Study France and Americas rich and vibrant history of Deaf Culture. This course and related travel is designed specifically for ASL students and Deaf Community members. The experience includes visits to the famous St. Jacques Deaf school and the International Visual Theatre. Students will attend some French sign language classes and have interactions with local French Deaf people. Faculty Leader: Glenna K. Cooper [email protected] Day 1: Travel to France Day 2: Arrive France, hotel check in, orientation walk including Notre Dame Church, Sainte-Chapelle, and Hotel de Ville, Welcome dinner. Day 3: International Visual Theatre, Napoleons tomb, Les Invalides, Eiffel Tower Day 4: Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Louvre, Palasis Royal, Opera, Abbe de lEpees cenotaph at St. Roch Church, Place Vendome and Madeleine. Day 5: Marasis District, Carnavalet, Picasso Museums Day 6: St. Jacques deaf school, Luxembourg Gardens, LSF (French Sign Language class) Day 7: Versailles, Chateau, Grand/Petit Trianon, Marie Antoinettes hamlet, Deaf Social Day 8: Orsay museum, Farewell dinner Day 9: Travel back to Tulsa, Arrive Tulsa.
