For Immediate Release: September 14th, 2014 Contact: John Feal 631 724 3320 or feal13@aol Statement from the John Feal Regarding the NY Posts Editorial Comments on the Zadroga Bill Friends - If you have read today’s NY Post Editorial, then you will be just as disgusted as I was. Again the NY Post Editorial has shown its true colors as Responder and anti-American. Rupert Murdoch and his team should be ashamed of themselves, but again how can they be? They are the same people who distort facts and actual news, and would rather hack phone records of those who suffer, then actually report the news. The Murdoch cronies offer up a lame opinion and say emotions have been placed ahead of science. Our response to those at the Post is after 13 years, over 1000 deaths, over 2900 people with cancer, over 30,000 injured and ill Responders and Survivors WTC Clinics, do you really think science is needed? I challenge the suits in the Post Editorial board to come to the funerals and visit the bedsides of cops, fireman and construction workers who are ill because they responded. The only emotions that are at work here are outrage that our Federal Government lied to us, Outrage that it took years to get the federal government to respond and outrage that people like you sit there in your offices and say that you “Let’s be clear: Those heroic first-responders who rushed to Ground Zero and later became ill because of that selfless service deserve both financial compensation and unstinting care at public expense. “ But you have opposed every attempt to help them. EVERY SINGLE ONE and YOU have never advocated that the government do anything to help those that were injured. Enough is enough I personally implore everyone who stands by those sick and dying, those who ran into harm’s way, those who risked their lives without any regard for themselves to call/email the NY Post Editorial and then boycott that tabloid, phone hacking, journalistically challenged paper. That everyone who supports first responders, copes fireman, construction workers volunteers should not only cancel their subscriptions but should urge its advertisers to stop buying ads until the NY Post stops these attacks If Rupert Murdoch wants to keep attacking injured and ill responders he should have to pay for it out of his own pocket.
