Friends - here is the latest update my office received regarding the ongoing investigation of the Rio Salado River from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality: Update #6 – 05/05/2014: TCEQ staff again observed the U.S. side of the Falcon Reservoir. Visual surveys of the Rio Salado/Falcon Reservoir confluence were conducted. No water contamination indicators were observed, including colors, odors or affected wildlife. Water fowl and birds were present. Fishermen were also observed on the Mexican side. Nearby PWS facilities were contacted in the morning and afternoon and none indicated any change in raw water quality incoming to their plant.
