Friends: All Paws Rescue has registered for the Shelter Challenge! It is called the 2013 Summer: $100,000 Shelter Challenge. We need YOUR help! Vote: 08/12/2013 - 10/13/2013 on a daily basis. Please save the link and vote for us. My Personal Experience: I have been a volunteer with All Paws Rescue since early 2008. I believe strongly in our mission. Our volunteers work as a team. Each has the same vision and goal: saving animals destined for euthanasia and giving them a chance to find a loving home. We are not a shelter. Rather, we are a foster-home based organization. What does this mean? Well, our volunteers rescue dogs and cats that are otherwise scheduled for euthanasia at shelters that are busting at the seams with animals in need. Sadly most shelters only give animals 5-7 days. After that? The animals face euthanasia. Our group has also helped countless families who have faced financial difficulties and had to make the tough decision to give up their pet. We have also helped many animals whose owners have either passed away or moved into assisted living. We bring the animals into our foster homes. There, the animals thrive thanks to nurturing, socialization, learning how to behave around humans and other animals and most importantly, they learn what love is like. I have never been more proud to be part of an organization. All Paws Rescue and its volunteers are my family. Every volunteer shows the same passion. Every volunteer is dedicated to saving animals. Every volunteer works together as a team. I am very proud and honored to be part of such a team. Please consider voting for a group that I am so passionate about. We thrive on donations from our community. We need you. Please share our story with your friends and help us win this challenge. Background: All Paws Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit animal rescue organization based in St. Charles County, Missouri. Our mission is to rescue homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats, provide any necessary medical care or behavioral help they need, and then place them into loving permanent homes. All Paws is made up entirely of foster homes, which allows us to better evaluate each animal and place them in homes that are well-suited to their needs and the needs of their future owners. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested (dogs) or FIV/FeLV tested (cats), and microchipped before being placed for adoption. In addition to our adoption program, All Paws also offers multiple services to our community, including low-cost spay/neuter services and placement assistance for owners needing to re-home their pets.
