Friends: August was the month of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, - TopicsExpress

Friends: August was the month of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, where your friends nominated you to donate to a worthwhile cause and post a video of yourself while being doused by a bucket of ice water. It was a hugely successful campaign by the ALS Association, with over 3 million donors. For September, I am asking that you show similar support for my cause, Multiple Sclerosis. I am not going to nominate just three people; I nominate all of you to do this challenge. My challenge to you will also be a physical challenge; join me for the Bike MS NYC event on October 5th and ride 30 miles with me, circumnavigating Manhattan. Rather than a social media video, you can post our picture at the finish line. Not up for the challenge? Then you have 24 hours to donate to the National MS Society (preferably through the link to my page, below). It doesnt need to be a $100 donation; even $5 or $10 helps. Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Millions of people are affected by MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms, which range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Join our team! Your gift helps support cutting-edge research and programs and services for everyone impacted by MS. Ending MS means no one will receive an MS diagnosis again. Every dollar helps. Every connection matters. Thank you! Bob https://secure3.convio.net/nmss/site/Donation2?idb=555215642&df_id=45290&FR_ID=23928&45290.donation=form1&PROXY_ID=5964682&PROXY_TYPE=20
