Friends, I just received this email from Fr Rich McAuliff SJ. As many of you know Fr Rich has been missioned to Palau. His last day as Xaviers Director will be 31 July, the Feast of St Ignatius Loyola. Fr Rich will continue to be a presence at Xavier in his newly created position of Chancellor. The final line in Fr Richs email reads, If I have to go out, its a good way to go out! To which I say, Amen! Fr Bob Pecoraro SJ will take over from Fr Rich on, you guessed it, 1 August. Rumong Yobech (Palau) planning on attending the University of New Haven - forensic science Brenden Yamase (Pohnpei/Chuuk) - University of New Haven - engineering Joey Wichep (Pohnpei/Chuuk) - Creighton University K-Andrea Limol - either USF or Fordham (still trying to decide) In addition, 12 of our sophomores and juniors were accepted to the JSA (Junior Statesman of America) summer programs - 4 of them received full scholarships: Ethan Techitong -Princeton; Keen Sakuma and Klumch Tangelbad - Stanford; Nico Nevado - Georgetown; Margie Carl - Georgetown; the others are fundraising to get there. Now we are just waiting to hear if our 2 candidates for the U.S. Naval Academy have won appointments; If I have to go out, its a good way to go out! Rich
