Friends, I want to thank you all so much for following me along on this amazing journey. As you may have seen, we didn’t win last night, but came pretty close. I congratulate Representative Fagan and wish her much luck in the next session. I hope she lives up to her re-election promises to us all. I couldn’t have run this race without the love and support of my family, and all of the friends, neighbors, local businesses, and community leaders who supported me. I had a great team of people on this campaign that were amazing, smart, dedicated and caring. I just cannot thank you all enough. Governor Atiyeh, who I had the unique opportunity to learn from during this campaign, lost his first bid for governor, and then went on to win and serve our great state as governor for eight years. His experience taught me that real leadership doesn’t mean stop serving because an election night didn’t go your way. I’m inspired to learn from this experience, grow from it, and continue to be engaged in helping people in our community thrive. I will continue to serve in every way I can and I will not lose my drive, passion, or dedication to you all. I meant it when I said you have my heart. I have been so blessed through all of this by meeting so many wonderful people I now call friends and so many that have inspired me to do more and work even harder to make a positive difference in this world and in our community. I want to step alongside other people and encourage them to serve and believe in themselves the way that my team and so many people did for me. My door will continue to be open, and I am keeping this page up and active. We’ll keep having the dialogue about what’s happening in the legislature, and how the laws passed in 2015 will either positively or negatively impact our lives. Thank you all again so much for the love and support. I couldn’t have come this far without you, and I’ll forever be grateful.
