Friends: I write this with mixed emotions. I feel the overwhelming - TopicsExpress

Friends: I write this with mixed emotions. I feel the overwhelming freedom that accompanies obedience, but also a heavy heart because this group and all of you have meant so much to me over these years. But Ive seen the light. I realize now that this quest for sacramental and liturgical renewal is a fools errand. How could a God who is always doing a new thing (Is. 43:19) possibly desire that we worship according to the historic patterns of liturgy (most of which are rooted in pagan practices anyway!*)? How could Christ *really* offer Himself to us in the communion ritual if He is in heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father? How could the Holy Spirit be guiding us to recognize and reclaim our heritage in the anglo-catholic tradition, when it is evident that we have been called OUT of that tradition? (I can only conclude that it is another spirit that has been leading us...)** So, effective immediately, I will begin the cumbersome process of shutting down this group - the damage has been done, I suppose, but its time for repentance and restitution. Nevertheless, I appreciate the friendship and dialogue you all have given me and one another, and I hope you will realize our collective waywardness on this issue and come to the same realization I have. Blessings. *On the pagan roots of Catholic practices: reformednazarene.wordpress/2014/03/06/%E2%80%8Bash-wednes%E2%80%8Bday-for-nazarenes-the-catholic-way%E2%80%8B/ **On other misguided Catholic practices: reformednazarene.wordpress/2013/08/02/icons-images-nuns-and-confessionals/
