Friends, If you have Internet access at home and live in Vancouver, Calgary or Winnipeg, Id like to see your Internet bill. I feel that the big providers are taking us all for a ride and I want to see if I can quantify that or gain insights into better ways to deal with it. You may blank out your name and account number if it makes you more comfortable but I will keep everything anonymous and completely confidential. Im hoping to collect information on how much people are actually being charged based on their address and what is being provided for that amount. Many people are also sold at one price, but actually are being charged more; I want to see what the actual price is that they are charging on the bill. It is optional, but it might also be helpful to have the result of the test at speedtest.net included and if you are using wifi when you run that test. Feel free to pass this request on to your friends. I hope to have a few hundred bills from across Western Canada to get the best sense of what the providers are really doing in each city and neighborhood. Some of the providers hide that from the bill! (I did own a small Internet provider at one time and this information is both a personal and professional interest to me)
