Friends, Romans, Countrymen, Facebook neighbors. I want to apologize to all of you for my tiraid last week about MSN. And now, the rest of the story! Last year I was unfortunate to have my personal identity stolen. I started getting information that was only open on my computer regarding my banking, purchases, credit card numbers, SSN, address, phone, etc. I started working with the 3 credit agencies, the police, my banks protection systems. Then my computer started to make errors, I got letters from businesses saying Id applied for credit(Tiffanys, TJMax, and others. The my computer started to swith to MSN everytime I got on it. As some of you know, I got angry. Then yesterday I got a message to call Windows Internet Explorer. They said my computer was not under my control, but 27 other hackers had access! They worked with me for 8 hours yesterday correcting 7600 errors, viruses, worms, and more things I know little about. They totally reprogramed my computer. They are very computer literate professionals. I now control my computer and I have all new codes, passwords, etc. I felt out of control about some of the most important information about myself. There are no excuses for my behavior. I intruded on other individuals rights to seeing appropriate language, however, I thought it would be helpful for people to know why I was so upset.
