Friends, There is never an excuse to not keep rising. It does not matter if we do not like our current job; it does not matter if other people do not treat us right. God says to us daily, It is time to get out of the pit. It is time to shake off the past. It is time to rise to the top! Well today - I am back to work from a few days of being away. Stop by today to tell you all that gratitude is giving God applause for who he is and what he has done. Family and Friends - let us guard our hearts against any spirit of pride or ingratitude. Remember that everything we own is a gift from God on loan. In everything we must give thanks, even to the things that tear at our heartstrings. God works all things out for the good, and our thankful spirit releases his power to do that. Our Father in heaven deserves his gratitude because we could do nothing apart from him. Thankfulness is a virtue God can see in us. He is thankful we are his children. *Your attitude was one of gratitude, Lord. Like a clear reflection in a crystal lake, you mirrored the Father and stole no credit for yourself. You even thanked him before he answered. Your humble thankfulness is an example for me, Lord. Because of you, I see the Father. My Prayer for Today: Father, thank you for the gifts and talents that are within each of us. We choose today to have an excellent spirit. We choose to shake off the old; We choose to forgive. We take our eyes off of our circumstances and lift our eyes to you knowing that you are the one who lifts us up in the precious name of Jesus.
