Friends and Family, ProtectIDF has been up and running for almost a week now, and its time that YOU as our donors and supporters -- truly our biggest fans, received an update from the Initiatives end of things. With under two days left in our campaign, we have raised just over $90,000! Our initial goal of reaching $100,000 is within our reach and with a sustained effort we believe we can make it. Indeed, 16,000 reservists are being called up today. The need to raise more money is very tangible, and we are looking into ways to either extend the funds deadline or raise the initiatives final goal. Heres what weve been up to. Over the past three days there have been successful fundraising events all across the country -- Los Angeles, New York, D.C., and more. Personally, I spearheaded 2 speaking engagements, with over 60 people coming on VERY short notice to Temple Israel of Natick and another 20 to the Yarmushs parlor meeting in Newton, MA. Collectively, a total of 6 IDF lone soldier reservists have, with your incredible help and support, made our goals totally reachable. On the ground back in Israel, a whole brigade of infantry soldiers (thats close to 2,000 soldiers!) has already received protective eye gear, ensuring that our boys wont be affected by shrapnel and debris from anything from rocks to rockets. Furthermore, specialized knee pads for all 90 active duty fighters in my unit have been ordered and will be delivered to the soldiers on Sunday. These are real time, substantive needs being addressed on the ground -- Kol HaKavod, All the respect. Several people have asked over the last day about the fact that the IDF is clamping down on donations to our soldiers on the border. Let me be clear: this is the army taking measures to safeguard our civilians. It is impossible for the IDF to take responsibility for the safety of the hundreds of civilians driving up to the border every day, and is therefore trying to put a hold on such actions. Fortunately, we are working in conjunction with the army and have approval to continue. Check out a few pictures attached below -- one with my whole team and me at the end of a training session, one of me getting ready for a night over the border in Syria last Spring, and the most important one-- a picture with some of the guys and their new protective eye gear. I want to take one moment to thank everyone who gave so generously. This is what allows us keep going at the highest levels! People who still want to donate before the initiative closes on Friday night can go to either https://fundly/protectidf, which shows all donations, or to my subsequently set up specific account at https://fundly/jonah-liben-protectidf# Thanks again,
