Friends and Family of Church on the Journey, Kay Castles mother, Ruth Salisbury, passed away late yesterday. There will be a memorial service for her on Tuesday, May 27th at Memorial. Church on the Journey will be providing a meal for them at 11:30 a.m. Joni Hires is coordinating the meal arrangements. Please contact her if you can help. Rev. Dr. Suzanne Castle (granddaughter) will be coming in from Ft Worth to lead the memorial service. I am scheduled for my fourth kidney stone procedure (hopefully the last!) Tuesday morning. Sharna and I appreciate your prayers and support during this rocky time in our lives. My stepdad (Orvin Hershel Bud Rupe) is going on the Kansas Honor Flight to Washington D.C. this week. He is 89, so it will be quite trip for him. My brother (Marvin Rupe) will be accompanying him. On this Memorial Day weekend, please share a prayer of thanksgiving for our freedoms, thank those served and remember those who gave their lives. Be sure to express your praise and thanksgiving to God for the rain our region has received this weekend! We have many who are traveling this weekend. Prayers for safety and refreshing are in order.
