Friends and family... Good news AND pretty damn bad news...Irma and I are in Colorado, and safe and sound. Our Los Cabos family is fine and all of our homes are OK. MANY others are not nearly so lucky. Homes totally destroyed or seriously damaged. Many, many businesses are seriously destroyed and GONE. Pretty much if it had glass... no more. The airport looks horrible... at least the building. Govenment planes are landing and possible minimal commercial flights will be coming in soon... (not sure what that means) Hotels are in ROUGH shape. And... No food or water or electricity in Loc Cabos and very sketchy phone service. Most of our communication and information has come from Facebook. LOOK... LOOK on Facebook with hashtags... and on You Tube for whatever you can find.... and share it. Very little US news coverage... what there is focuses on hotels and the impact to US Tourism... the story is so much more. Looting is a HUGE issue as is rampant crime. Heard this morning that the Marines have called martial law, and a STRONGLY enforced curfew. Every day we are looking and trying to learn whatever we can. Irma and I are SICK about this... AND, we have the ability to turn off the news or not look at pictures or video. Our friends and family in Los Cabos CAN NOT TURN THIS OFF. Love and prayers are needed... and carefully vetted financial support.
