Friends and family, as many of you know the military has always been deep in my heart. I come from a family where the first part of respect we were taught is for our military men and woman. My respect and love started with my grandfather, my valued uncle Earl Manchester and then my magnificent husband Tommy and my dearest (BMF) friend/big brother Jason. If it wasn’t for the men and woman that risk their lives and give up their families every day we would not have the freedoms as American citizens we do today. I know with the troubled times we might not always agree we are privileged, but compared to most countries we should be thankful. As many of you know my husband is involved with wonderful group of men and woman whose mission is transforming the way that America supports its veterans as they transition from service member to civilian. They work together as a team by creating communities of veterans, their families and the American citizens that enjoy authentic interaction through physical and social activities. Since my husband been involved with Team RWB he has become driven and passionate about his life again. And I thank them for giving him the outlook to find his gifts and the pleasures that bring him happiness. Please join me in the following 5k on November 9th at Tempe Town Lake Marina. This event is to benefit Team RWB and is their way of honoring the veterans that have given so much for this country over the years. Showcase Honda is the primary sponsor; so much of the registration fees will end up going to Team RWB. This will be a great run / walk with cadence groups and markers every half mile representing the many conflicts veterans have served in over the years. I have created an open event, please review for registration details. Also please don’t feel you have to run or walk, having my friends and family there for support is just as great.
