Friends and family in Kingston. Allow me the opportunity to use Facebook to express my support for my friend Mark Gerretsens declaration to seek the Federal Liberal Partys nomination for Kingston and the Islands. As a proud Kingstonian, I believe Mark will be an excellent representative for the interests of our great city at the federal level. I think Mark has demonstrated great leadership during his time as mayor in what were often trying situations. He has a solid understanding of Kingstons history along with the forward-thinking ability to change as necessary in the modern world. If I could vote in Kingston, I would definitely join the Liberal party and vote for Mark to be Kingstons Liberal candidate for the 2015 Federal Election. We need candidates like Mark to present a real challenge to the Conservative Partys electoral machine. I think most of us have seen enough of Steven Harper to last a lifetime. Good luck Mark!
